Mr. Abdelkrim ABOURRICHE is a Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department at National School of Applied Sciences in Safi, Morocco. Abourriche’s specialist areas are the development of original natural resources such as Moroccan oil shale. He also worked as Project Manager entitled: Solvent Extraction of organic matter of oil shale. Study and Promotion of the oils produced. This project is funded by Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology. In 2008 he took on the role of Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at National School of Applied Sciences Safi. Professor Zizi Abdeen is an Egyptian national. She is a researcher Professor in polymer lab. Petrochemicals dep., Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute. She completed her PhD & M.Sc. degrees in Polymer Chemistry from Ain Shams University, (Egypt), where she also completed her B.Sc., Degree in Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, Cairo University, (Egypt). She main stream research is at the frontier of materials/polymer science and emerging fields such as nanotechnology/nanocomposites. She has a keen interest in the development of intelligent materials based on bio resources such as chitosan and starch through chemical modification and advanced biotechnology processes. She is author of over 31 articles on polymers, biomaterials, hydrogels and nano composites systems and reviewer of over 15 International journals and a member of the Advisory Editorial Board of Polymers and Biomaterials in different International journals. She was sharing as technical committee in more than ten international conferences.

Presently, he is working as Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, SIET Allahabad, India. Dr. Bharat Bhushan is an Ohio Eminent Scholar and the Howard D. Winbigler Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and nd the Director of the Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics (NLB2) and affiliated faculty in John Glenn College of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Bhushan came to OSU in 1991 after a 15-year career in industry, working primarily for IBM Almaden Research Center. A professor with diverse interests, Dr. Bhushan’s works in biomimetic interface science, surface engineering, nanotribology, and materials research. His research has focused on scanning probe techniques in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology, bio/nanomechanics and bio/nanomaterials characterization and applications to bio/nanotechnology, and biomimetics. Dr. Bhushan spent the 2013-2014 year working as an ASME Science Fellow in Congress. His work there focused on policy and funding of various scientific government agencies, setting science and engineering goals for the country, and STEM education. Dr. Bhushan is a prolific author (h-index – 76+; ISI Highly Cited Researcher in Materials Science since 2007 and in Biology and Biochemistry since 2013; ISI Top 5% Cited Authors for Journals in Chemistry since 2011), influencing many different fields. He has authored 8 scientific books, 90+ handbook chapters, nearly 900 scientific papers, and 60+ scientific reports. He has also edited 50+ books and holds 20 U.S. and foreign patents.

Dr. Tye Ching Thian is an associate professor of School of Chemical Engineering in Universiti Sains Malaysia. She received her doctoral degree at The University of British Columbia, Canada. She is working in the area of chemical reaction engineering and catalysis. She has been involved in projects to improve catalysis activities, system efficiency, as well as the products quality via different treating technologies that related to petroleum and different unconventional oil processing such as heavy oil, used motor oil and palm oil. Professor Dr. Ariffin Samsuri is a Senior Professor of the Petroleum Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with vast experience in managing R&D projects, faculty and department. He also had been appointed as a visiting professor at Universiti Teknologi Petronas, peer reviewers, external examiners, expert and academic advisory panels. Professor Dr. Dimitris Drikakis is Professor of Engineering Science, Executive Director of Global University Partnerships at the University of Starthclyde, Glasgow, UK. His expertise is in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid mechanics, and micro/nanoscale processes at fluid-solid interfaces. He has been active in both fundamental and applied research across a diverse spectrum of applications, including Oil & Gas. To date, he has co-authored two books in the field of computational fluid dynamics and has published about 400 papers/book chapters in the above technical areas.

Dr. Lingai LUO received her Ph.D. degree (1991) from National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine (INPL), Nancy, France. She is Research Director of French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). Pr. Luo is the author of 2 books and over 100 journal articles. She was the head of LOCIE Laboratoiry of CNRS and University of Savoie, the cofounder and coordinator of Sino-French Collaboratory for Environmental and Process Engineering and the head of its successor Sino-French Laboratory for Sustainable Energy of French CNRS and Chinese Academy of Sciences. Lingai Luo research covers a wide range of topics in thermal, process and energy engineering, including combustion in fluidized bed, energy balance analysis of industries, solar refrigeration machines, adsorption and absorption processes, thermoelectric heat pumps or energy for buildings. More recently, her research activities focus on a fundamental strategy based on thermodynamic analysis, transfers intensification and energy systems optimization.

Russell R. Chianelli is currently Director of the Materials Research and Technology Institute at the University of Texas at El Paso and Professor of Chemistry, Materials and Environmental Science and Engineering. After receiving his PhD, he joined the Corporate Research Laboratories of Exxon Research and Engineering Co in 1974. While at this laboratory he conducted research in both fundamental and applied areas of interest to the energy industry. He is recognized worldwide for his work in Transition Metal Sulfide environmental catalytic materials. This work resulted in over 130 publications and 60 issued United States patents. During this period he was active in the Materials Research Society (MRS), serving as vice president (1989), president (1990), past president (1991) and Counselor (1992-1994). In 1996 he joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Texas at El Paso as Chairman and Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. In 2001 he resigned as Chemistry Department Chairman to head the Materials Research and Technology Institute (MRTI) at UTEP. The MRTI is dedicated to research relevant to the US/Mexico border in Materials related to energy, environment and health.

Adango Miadonye, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Industrial Chemistry in the School of Science & Technology has received global recognition in the field of petroleum engineering and petroleum chemistry. His impressive publication record includes 80 peer-reviewed articles, numerous book chapters, and a number of presentations at important international conferences. An accomplished and respected student supervisor, Dr. Miadonye is extensively cited and has also formed the basis for a number of industrial collaborations. Well-respected by his colleagues nationally and internationally, Dr. Miadonye has been a leader and contributor to his professional academic community holding offices and serving on committees with numerous academic and professional societies.

Davis L. Ford is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Engineering, the University of Texas at Austin and a Visiting Professor of Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock. He is practicing environmental engineer with over forty-five years of experience in the field. In addition, he serves on the faculty at The University of Texas at Austin as an adjunct professor, has published more than one hundred technical papers, has co-authored or contributed to ten textbooks and written two biographies and co-authored one children’s book. He has lectured extensively throughout the United States and in countries of Europe, South America and Asia. Ford received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Texas A&M University and his master and doctorate degrees in environmental engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a Distinguished Engineering Graduate of both Texas A&M University and The University of Texas at Austin as well as a Distinguished Alumnus of Texas A&M. Ford was elected into the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE). He has served as president of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and chairman of the Academy Ethics Committee. His honorary affiliations include Tau Beta Pi, Sigma Xi and Chi Epsilon. Ford serves on the Board of a publicly-owned oil and exploration company (CWEI, NASDAQ) and the Board of the Texas A&M University Press.
